To my fellow Rock Island high School Class of '66 classmates:
I have been a busy Rocky graduate since retiring from my Practice in Clinical Psychology.

1. I have traveled to many countries (A list would be a misuse of my available space in this section.
2. I renewed my Scuba license and so I enjoy the underwater world.
3. I have been writing and publishing poetry and short stories and I have written a book on anxiety disorders entitled "Keeping the Elephants Away" A guide to surviving and thriving in our anxious times.
4. I am playing music and writing some. Guitar, drums, and keyboard.
5. I am exercising regularly (and for those of you who know me) I can still do a backflip on the trampoline)
6. I have made good progress on all the subjects from school that I managed to avoid at Rocky (smile)
7. I am doing vocal practice (I recall how uninspired my singing was in chorus class) and I have even been a finalist in "Voice" of the Sea aboard Princess Cruises. (I am sure many of us are waiting for Cruise Ships to return to operation).
8. On a lighter side, I am juggling, and playing Mario Brothers (yes, the old version) for eye-hand coordination.
9. To "date" this entry, I am experiencing "Planet Fever" as I assume we nearly all are due to COVID.
I am sharing life with a wonderful woman from Madrid. Many of you may recall Andres Cruz-Zayas, one of the Spanish teachers at Rocky. Thanks to him, I managed to go from Spanish 1 to Spanish 4 in one year and this has clearly contributed to our interpersonal communication. One last "brag" which is also a fact of activity and growth in life. Since learning Spanish, I have gone on to learn French,and German.

I have not been to a class reunion since the 35th and I cannot exaggerate how much I now miss the opportunity to be together with my fellow classmates.

So, here's hoping we meet again. I look forward to the next reunion and will monitor the Class of '66 site to ascertain when that reunion will take place. Please keep engaged with your minds and bodies.

We bought a massage school 8 years ago, and it has been a very rewarding experience training licensed massage therapists. The school keeps me too busy to continue my practice in chiropractic, so I retired from active practice. Mary recently retired from working with me at the school and is enjoying a less stressful life. I am also working with two organizations. The first is the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education to improve education standards in massage. I am on the Alliance Board of Directors. The second is the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care. This group is comprised of chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and midwives. We are working with about 50 leading medical schools to develop collaboration between conventional medicine and the CAM professions in multi-disciplinary settings. This work is my passion. Retired and travel as much as possible. Spend part of winter in AZ. [2016]

I have been retired for a year and am busier than when I worked. We just visited Ireland for 12 days and had a great time. We would love to go back for another trip. [July2011]
