Harry "Chip" Franck III age 67, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home in Hopkinton, Iowa following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Saturday morning, February 28, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Manchester. A luncheon following the service will be held at 1:00 Saturday at the Hopkinton Community Church. Interment will be in the Hopkinton Cemetery at a later date. Harry James Franck III was born January 17, 1948 in San Diego, California. Chip graduated from high school in Rock Island, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Northern Illinois with a degree in Psychology. He later became a chef and worked in restaurants in Memphis, Des Moines, and Las Vegas. He was a pit boss at the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas before returning to Iowa in 2007.
Harry and Cynthia Thomas were married on June 5, 1997.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia, two sons, Chance Franck, Hopkinton, and Craig Thomas, Cascade, and two cousins, George and Landee. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Franck Jr.
